A Message of Support from
Rudi Fabian - President of Horticultural Media Association of NSW Incorporated
Members of our Horticultural Media Association have told me what a wonderful asset and inspiration Hunter Valley Gardens is for Australian gardening. There's nothing like it anywhere else in Australia, and we consider ourselves fortunate to have been able to watch it develop from its very beginning.
Jane Davenport, one of our members, currently has her Ladybird, Ladybird photo-story display boards on show in the gardens and these have proven to be a hit with people of all ages. Horticulturists and garden writers are always thrilled to see people enjoying gardens, and it's especially rewarding to watch children being introduced to the magic of plants. After all, there's no better way to ensure that we have gardeners for the future.
One of the best features of Hunter Valley Gardens is that it showcases plants and garden styles from all parts of the world, and we're delighted that Asian-inspired gardens will be in the spotlight this May in association with the Gardens' month-long cultural event Treasures of the Orient. We're sure that visitors will take home many ideas for adding oriental touches to their own home landscaping.
Horticultural Media Association members are looking forward to following the progress of Hunter Valley Gardens as it matures and grows into the future.
