Visitors to Hunter Valley Gardens throughout May will be provided with an insight into a number of exotic and fascinating Asian cultures including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Vietnamese. Hunter Valley Gardens is a 60-acre display garden, open to the public, and is made up of 12 individual garden ‘rooms’. In 2005, Hunter Valley Gardens was awarded, ‘Most Significant Tourist Attraction in New South Wales’ at the Tourism NSW Excellence in Business Awards. Two of the gardens have major influences from Asian gardens, being the Chinese Moongate Garden and the Oriental Garden.
In addition to the magnificent gardens, visitors will also be able to witness and participate in the following activities: Bonsai displays and demonstrations; Tea ceremonies; Origami demonstrations and hands-on workshop; Lantern display and hands-on workshop; Asian cooking demonstrations; Martial Arts performances; Traditional music and dance performances and Traditional costumes.
