10.30am Storybook Garden After two years of planning, design and sculpturing the Storybook Garden came to life in April 2003. Regarded by the young and the young at heart as the most popular area of Hunter Valley Gardens. Meet at the Gingerbread House
11.30am History of the Gardens The site of Hunter Valley Gardens was originally used for grazing cattle. During construction over 800,000 cubic metres of soil was moved and 100,000 cubic metres of topsoil added to create the wonderful Gardens that you see today. Meet in the Amphitheatre
12.30pm Rose Garden The Rose has captured humankinds’ imagination for thousands of years and has taken a place of honour in gardens around the world. See 8,000 roses comprising of 156 different varieties featured in a stunning corkscrew landscape design. Meet in the Rose Garden
1.30pm Oriental Garden A low maintenance garden, with no obvious beginning or end, modeled on a 17th Century Endo period design. The Oriental Garden is a combination of Chinese, Korean and Japanese cultures. Meet in the Oriental Pagoda
